Whiteside Manor has separate residential treatment facilities for women, as female alcoholics and addicts frequently have unique rehabilitation needs and circumstances, often involving safety, security, pregnancy, abuse, and children for example. These needs must be addressed in the treatment and recovery process.
Our California Residential Treatment Program provides complete services for women seeking recovery from the disease of alcohol and chemical dependency. A vital component of this recovery is the women’s ability to make a successful transition back into her community. For women with children, this includes their ability to parent and bond with their children and families. Our women’s rehab program aids in skill development for parenting and particularly parental bonding, to provide practical, hands-on experiences and activities for parents to use with their children under the caring, professional guidance of our qualified, credentialed staff. During the ninety day period of our residential addiction treatment, women have the option of participating in parenting education courses and group discussions about parenting. They are taught basic bonding skills and how to make the necessary changes to rebuild the family system. Special focus on blended families is included in the program.
Our California Residential Treatment Program provides complete services for women seeking recovery from the disease of alcohol and chemical dependency balancing evidence based practices with healthy recreation and fellowship. To learn more about our women’s addiction program, contact us.
